Good ice cream and a delicious waffle cone! The place is very small, with only a couple of seats outside, so it's more of a grab-and-go spot. They also sell some cute merchandise. This Instagram-worthy treat wasn't just pretty to look at—it was delicious too! The soft-serve ice cream had a unique flavor that I hadn't tried before (I think it was raspberry blackberry), and I really enjoyed it. The waffle cone was also surprisingly soft, fresh, and tasty. Eat it quickly before it melts! Overall, it was a great little stop, and I would definitely come back!

I wish the ice cream was served on the warm waffle too! It would be amazing! Girls were super helpful and patient They pandan ice cream was delicious and refreshing I added Nutella ($1) and it was the perfect match for something sweeter I don’t recommend the cotton candy topping, there is no taste

I've been wating to go here for years after dinner at Domu, but they were always closed. So the other night when I saw they were open until 9, our group got dessert. Honestly, I don't get what the hype is. The staff were friendly, but they only have 2 flavors of ice cream which I thought was odd. I got a taiyaki cone and it was very mid, I didn't care for the texture. The taiyaki at matcha cafe maiko is much better, and their ice cream melts slower and seems like higher quality. It was melting so fast that it made a huge mess. It looks nice, but there are better tasting options nearby.

Honestly disappointing especially from a place with high reviews. We ordered custard, Nutella, and matcha taiyaki and they took 20 minutes to come out and were barely filled with filling. The actual taiyaki was dry and not flavorful at all, but the filling was decent. They also were barely in an actual fish shape, as you can see in the photo. Which was quite disappointing for a 20 minute wait that the presentation fell flat. Our taiyaki were flat and not fluffy, which probably led to the minimal filling and dry texture. If you come here, only get the soft serve or the taiyaki and soft serve as it comes out quicker and is tastier than the filled taiyaki. We were disappointed with it overall.

I don’t really understand the hype behind WAFU. I think it’s great that they change their flavors every week, and their social media team is doing a great job because their Instagram is very cute, but the taiyaki don’t taste good at all. They’re very bland. They have no strong flavors, and they’re too doughy and cakey. I’ve definitely had better taiyaki elsewhere. For the filled flavors, I ordered the anko (red bean), custard cream, Nutella, matcha cream, tamago (egg), and the grilled cheese toastie. I wouldn’t buy these again, and I don’t recommend them. They weren’t worth it. I also ordered their taiyaki cone filled with custard cream and ube soft serve ice cream topped with Oreo crumbs. This was the only thing I liked here. The ube ice cream is super delicious. It tastes so good, and I wish it was one of their permanent flavors. The taiyaki cone tastes different from their regular taiyaki waffles. I’m not sure if that’s actually true—it could be a placebo—but I definitely prefer the taiyaki cone much more. Having it filled with custard was also a good choice.
